FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

Axe throwing is extremely safe at Hero’s Axe House. We have invested in safety-designed no-bounce borders and end grain targets for your safety. For your safety, YOU MUST WEAR SHOES THAT COVER YOUR TOES! If you listen to the Axe Master and follow all the safety rules you will be very safe.

All who throw axes MUST WEAR SHOES THAT COMPLETELY COVER THEIR TOES. We do not recommend loose clothing, just comfortable clothes. You cannot wear high heels, sandals, or flip-flops.

Just bring yourself and/or your group and be ready to have a great time!

Our minimum age to throw at HERO’S is 10 years old. Individuals age 10 to 17 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver for them and they must be present when those that are underage are throwing. (You can list all underage throwers on one waiver).  All are welcome to come watch. Click HERE to sign the waiver.

Space is limited.  If our lanes are full and space is available, you are welcome to watch for as long as you want.  You will want to stand behind your friends’ lane and cheer them on!

We have six throwing lanes that will accommodate up to six people per lane.

YES and NO. You may bring in outside food.  We do sell bottled nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. Highlanders Tavern is right next door. You are welcome to purchase food and bring it in.  Alcohol is not currently permitted in our establishment; however, Highlanders Tavern is next door.

We ask you to contact us as soon as you know you will need to cancel your throwing time. The lane is reserved for you and your party.  If you do not cancel, we will be unable to use your reserved lane.  As a result, another customer/group will not have an opportunity of a lifetime! We understand that things happen. In most cases, it will not be a problem, but refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

YES, absolutely, it’s encouraged.  We ask you to also share them with us!!! We want to see you smile and have a great time! Show your friends what a great time you are having at HERO’S AXE HOUSE.

Absolutely!  If they made it fun for you and your party, or if they helped correct your throw to make your axes stick, please feel free to tip! They will very much appreciate the gesture.
